About B2

B2 (squared) Bikes & Boards opened its doors on March 1, 2003. This dream of Matt's had finally become reality. Matt decided to go after this dream after working almost ten years in a shop for someone else. His experience with bicycles also includes Sixteen years of racing BMX, a hobby of mountain biking, and some triathalon and running events. Besides knowledge and experience, B2 does offer a great service department. We can complete all repairs on all makes and models. We can do it all from tube installation to wheel building.

B2 is a family business. Besides Matt, you can find his wife, kids, and dad filling in at different times. Although the kids are more entertaining than working right now. We pride ourselves in being a family business and have tried to instill a family atmosphere from the paint job to the pictures hanging on the walls. The shop colors of orange and purple are bright and cheery for kids. The stools in the back welcome friends and customers to stay a bit and chat about rides, families, or whatever comes to mind.

Matt:

After working for another shop for almost nine and a half years it was time to do it for himself. Besides racing BMX in both expert and cruiser classes. He also enjoys mountain biking with his friends. He has a goal of riding in all fifty states before he dies and is part way there with 26 to date. Matt is also active in the cycling community in both the Jackson County Bicycle Club and putting on the B2 time trial series.

Zabrina:

Zabrina is the force of our organization. She is behind the scenes getting things done or just keeping Matt going. Along with winning 1st place Womens in the 2008 B2 Time Trial Series Zabrina also raced a season of BMX in 1999 finishing third in the Kentucky State Series as a Super Girl. Zabrina enjoys riding and hanging out socializing at events. She is a teacher at Crothersville High School when not at the bike shop. Last but not least Zabrina is the mother of our kids here at B2.

Bob:

Bob fills in the blanks when Matt and Zabrina are out doing other things. While not being in bicycle shops as long as Matt or Zabriana he does bring experience to the table. He has been around the eleven years of Matts racing career and rode himself off and on for most of his life.

Perry:

Perry is a mountain biker that believes hiking is as much fun as riding. B2 is the local hang out for this part timer that eats lunch at the counter a few times a week. When not here or out mountain biking you never know where you will find Perry. His wife and him own Flamingo Fridays Travel Agency and they often vacation to some exotic places. Perry is also part of the B2 tour crew along with Matt, Timm, and Shane.
